May be, it was a little bit difficult. Here is another pic from the airport. The old apron was on the north side, upper side of the pic.
Sorry, if there are too many pixels http://member.file-upload.net/seneca/zsrrp.jpg |
Well that defo looks like Innsbruck to me.
|
Yes, it is Innsbruck. You have control.

A Bonus point for the date!

Wild guess - could it be Renfrew?
Date - hmm mid 50s - but another wild guess is that the date might be a significant clue...... |
Not Renfrew but you are in the right decade.

Northolt?
plus an extra character |
Not Northolt.
The aircraft is seen arriving, having departed from Heathrow. |

Flap40's challenge
BEA Pioneer G-ALXK leaving Gatwick on the first flight from Gatwick after its re-opening by the Queen on the 9th June 1958.
Mel |
Mel has it. I agree that the caption on the photo had it as departing but I think it could be arriving. The engineer seems to be walking towards the aircraft which I find unusual if it was departing.

Next Challenge
Thanks for that Flap40. I tried a search on Google regarding this event and a reference came up stating that HM the Queen arrived for the opening ceremony in a DH Heron but when I tried to log on I discovered access was not possible due to either a fault or a problem with my firewall.
Here is the next challenge:- http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c6...ortquiz020.jpg Mel |
