I believe we are in Pakistan(PIA ATR), but I can't really get a match on the pics. However it could possibly be Dera Ghazi Khan Airport
Yes to Pakistan, no to Dera Ghazi Khan I'm afraid
A lot of airports in Pakistan look like this one.......

well one of you is correct but I'm traveling today so it'll be tomorrow (or very late tonight ) before I confirm.
It is Gwadar in Baluchistan - the current airport (illustrated) is about to be replaced by a monster new one further out financed by President Xi - and beautifully located to connect to Afghanistan, Iran, The Gulf States etc etc it is - well done that man!
I'd never realised that Gwadar belonged to Muscat until about '56, '57 when the Old Sultan of Oman (Said) sold it to Pakistan for about $7 million -the money was put up by the Aga Khan apparently - Descol was painfully close!!
Over to dixi!!

I went to Gwadar from Seeb in a SOAF Viscount around 1977. The tower was someone in a Land Rover and we kept one engine running as there was no GPU. SOAF tried using a BAC 1-11 but the runway surface was breaking up so the route was contracted to PIA using F27s.
Where is this?
