Well from the Beluga then it either has to be near Toulouse or Nantes I'd guess. Toulouse being preferable due to the countryside...
Carcassonne?
Carcassonne?
You would guess wrong - they seem to fly them to other airports in France as well
No - it was fairly busy in WW2

Borgo, Corsica...But only by dint of scrolling through hundreds of pics and using a bit of lateral thinking. It looked like my bit of France here in Provence and initially I thought it could be Vinon but then you posted the terminal pic which made me think maybe Hyeres but couldn't really make it match and then it occurred to me that Corse is also France...You certainly don't make it easy as your last pic is a crop of the whole airfield that would have been difficult enough to ID on it's own

My God _ i've had pictures ID'd on here in less than 20 minutes - they HAVE to be hard to last between sun rise and sun set!!!!!
Who can forget Bear posting the Pope's helicopter pad????
I can't comment yet but here's a nice picture for today...

Greater minds than mine(or minds with more time than mine) are obviously at work
what is astonishing is the amazing variety of places people have been - A few years back I posted one of a helicopter base near (well sort of near) archangel and of course someone had been there to fix a helicopter..................................
Some of us spotted Monaco Heliport too!
I think I got that in just over 20 min.(not that, I hasten to add, I go there very often) (Well only once in/out actually.)

Yes I think it was me that put that one up...
Time has passed and I confirm 621andy is correct with Borgo/Bastia/Poreta in Corsica Nice spot
Heavily used by the USAAF in 1943/44

The departure point of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry on his final mission.
I had been searching P38s in Corsica and for some reason discounted this one for reasons that now escape me!

I can see two aerodromes there.
Stop press for Asturias: Tour de France stage 1 first place Adam Yates; second place Simon Yates!!!
