Is it the Lambach HLII ??
It is indeed Trevor I guess the engine was a bit of a give away! Sorry Karl, Trevor just got there first.
Ir. Hugo Lambach designed a small single-seat biplane intended for aerobatics. It was the intention that at aerobatic contests held in the Netherlands it could beat the German competition. For construction of this new plane, designated as H.L.2, Lambach founded the Lambach Aviation works in January 1937
Sadly the aircraft failed to beat the German competition and met its fate in a bombing raid in 1940.

To celebrate the 45-years jubilee of the Student Aeronautical Study Association 'Leonardi da Vinci' of the Technical University of Delft, the members decided to build a replica of the Lambach H.L.2. To realize the construction the SSVOBB (Stichting Studenten Vliegtuigontwikkeling, -Bouw en -Beheer (Aircraft Development, Construction and Maintenance Students Foundation) was founded in 1990. Thestudents were assisted by the chief constructor of the original 1937 H.L.2, Ir. Wim de Koo at the respectable age of 82.
The replica flew in 1995/96 but was grounded because of structural cracks. I do not believe it has flown since.

SincoTC has declared OH, however as Karlark was only minutes behind, I invite him to put up the next challenge

Evening Ken. Tried your GIMP programme, as you know, but spent too much time looking for your single seat biplane...so it's your fault I have no silhouettes.

I'm sure you've been busy...got another?

Different! So a single seat high (parasol?) wing turboprop? Wing looks odd...has it got large end plates? US design?

Sorry I was out & about for a bit... Looks like Noyade has it, and it is open house.

'twas a Paint silhouette... I'll have try one in Gimp when I get a chance.

Thanks Karlark.

I'll have try one in Gimp when I get a chance.
Here's my first serious attempt with GIMP. Never would have tried it playing with the contrast and paint like I usually do. Hindsight says it was a poor choice in that I didn't notice the original photo had clipped the float and the top of the nacelle was very bright - wasn't sure where to put the dots....

Many thanks Ken for the tutorials. Going boldly forward where I've never gone before, I present GIMP No.1...

Morning Martin
Glad you liked the Lambach...plenty of photo's of the replica (PH-APZ) on the web. Looks like they hope to have it flying again soon.
Totally fooled by Karl's Douglas YO-31C....must admit it's one I was not familiar with Ironically it did lead me to a rather unusual looking turboprop conversion of a well known light aircraft....I'll save that for a later date
I've not had much of a chance to look for Graeme's yet....coffee break soon so will try to look then.

Edit, evening Graeme....tea, sounds terribly English Wish Julie a Happy Birthday for me. Is your challenge American?

French.

Sesquiplane. Top wing level with the top of the fuselage. Central float with two considerably smaller stabilizing floats. Planned role was shipboard reconnaissance but they changed the prototype into a two-seat fighter with a circular fuselage and smaller tail. Only one built.

Sorry mate, have to leave you there. Working tomorrow morning with an early start. Hope you have a good day, don't work too hard.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Julie and thanks again for GIMP. You might regret helping me now.

Cheers.

6,000.
