Not Samlesbury.

I've deleted the picture, as it only shows some of the time.....(it's the same method I always use to attach pictures, but it doesn't like this picture for some reason?)

Open house, DH

Yes, it is Pangnirtung, Nunavut, Canada. Sometimes spelled Pannirtuuq. CYXP. Located on the Cumberland Peninsula, at the mouth of a fjord, just south of the Arctic Circle. Some say Pangnirtung means "Place of the Bull Caribou". Also called the "Switzerland of the Arctic". A few cruise ships visit in summer. The runway divides the community in half. You have control.

I'd say that you're spot-on Chevvron; however, we'll have to wait for one11 to verify.

Cheers

Chevvron has it. Definitely , not vaguely Hanworth. 18 August 1931. It must have been a great day for any spotters and a terrible one for the "not-in-my-backyard" tendency. You have control........................Doug

As far as I can tell, this aerodrome has not been the subject of a quiz before.

Oh My. I posted this before. I'm clearly getting old.

I'd say St. Barts, but I was under the impression we've had that one before.
