Thanks Russell Gulch...and thanks to Mr Grubby and RR for their suggestions which pointed me in the right direction.

I doubt this one together with its assorted collection of aircraft will last long, but we'll see:

Just catching up...
Not Cranfield, Boscombe Down or Mildenhall.
Not surprisingly you are all in the right country!
Am closing down for the night soon, but one clue for you...this airfield is still operational today.

Mornin'! My other thought was Honington. You said that it is still operational, as a military base?

Sorry for the drift, but S'land is right - what a collection! Even down to the Horsa glider behind the Stirling. I think the occasion (whatever it is) is more interesting than the aerodrome (wherever it is).

Well its not Honnington, nor Wattisham or Scampton.

It is certainly an impressive line up...as I'm sure you will have worked out, this was a gathering for a display.

Not Horsham St Faith or Northolt.

RR has however hit on the biggest clue...I chose to ignore it first time around but by not answering I give it away anyway. This airfield is no longer military. I'll give it 10 mins!
