The photo dates from the Summer of 1918 when the squadron based here re-equipped with the type shown above. This is a photo taken a couple of months previously:

Neither Hendon or Rochford I'm afraid.

Taken a couple of years later at the station, this is a group of officers from the same squadron, still based here then. I think it is fair to say that one of them became fairly well known later on in his career:

Good guess, understand your logic but not quite right MM.

My apologies, have just found out that the pic of the officers was actually taken roughly 6 months after those of the fighters.
