Bingo, Bingofuel.
Every picture tells a story and this is a sad one.
After battling the Portuguese Authorities for 2 years or so the young German guy who brought the Connie to Faro (I'm not sure where it came From) finally got it up and running as a Bar/Restarante only to be told that a new Terminal was to be built and that his Business would be too close to it. I know the Airport Director Carlos Cruzinho was keen that it should remain on the airport as it was once on the TAP fleet and the only survivor. A suitable alternative site was offered within the Airport boundary but somewhat arrogantly the owner refused to move. In the end the offer was withdrawn and he was forced to relocate anyway. The picture below shows the Connie's ultimate demise in a field on the south side of the N125 having been seriously vanadalised. The writing on the side offers a 100,000 escudos reward for information leading to the ethnic vandals who destroyed the interior.
On that cheerful note over to you Bingofuel

I'm not sure where it came From
I think the car registrations gave it away, and the fact that there are not many Connie's in Europe!
As I cannot work out how to add a picture at the moment, I will pass the buck and say 'open house'
Thanks

Try this one then. Perhaps a little unconventionally for this thread, the building shown was converted to aviation use around the time the photo was taken:

Having ruled out Kingston due to the hill/cliffs in the background, I'll go for Leeds and the Olympia factory though I'm still puzzled by the cliffs, which suggest a coastal place.

Some would say that it is surprising that flying took place from this site as the number of colourful birds in the immediate area is legendary. Many attempts have been made to get rid of them but without success, prompting one commentator to observe that they will be still "there tomorrow, you mark my words".
Surprised that none are visible on the photo, although if the photographer could have taken a few steps backwards he may have captured some. Unfortunately this was not possible.

Correct in all respects Mr Grubby. On balance I think you should take the prize as one11 only identified the general location.
Special mentions to sabredog and Davidsoffice who both identified it correctly to me via pm's.
Over to you.
