Bought one of those coffee book picture books on early flight today. Lovely photographs; and this was on the back cover...

Easy peasy mate! The way I like'em. Control is yours.

David it's been enjoyable talking to you and you too Sinco, but it's time for "shaken, not stirred". Catch you tomorrow?

Cheers
Graeme.

Yes Graeme; lathes and milling machines. Our latest one is an eight ton lathe with a driven chuck at each end and a tool turret between that's a sort of milling machine in its own right, with up to 96 lathe tools or driven milling cutters/drills/taps, it can attack the the workpiece held in the chucks from almost any angle, grip the part finished component in the second chuck, cut it off the bar-stock, end then work on the cut end to finish the part in "one-hit". Real cool ****, but it needs to be for what it cost us!!

Always a bit dramatic when the juice goes out and they're in full flight, but today we got away with only a broken tap. The motion stops instantly but the spindle motors spin down and threading tools don't like that, but hey, nobody likes having their screwing interrupted do they

The Hitler bit in the Top Gear you missed was when JC said that we have a Brazilian as a guest tonight, then said that he didn't mean a bit of female genital "topiary" that's nicknamed that here (don't know if it's used in OZ), but when he asked if they used that phrase in Brazil, Rubens said that it was called a Hitler after the famous tash!

BTW, if you want to see the whole show, you can see it here:

BBC iPlayer - Top Gear: Series 15: Episode 3

I dunno if you can access it in OZ and you'll probably have to download the free iPlayer, but it may be worth a try.

Yep, no broadband at home mate, not even a computer!! But it'll change next month, the only problem then is, when will I get any sleep

The original was by Alex Strojnik. This was a design based upon that by Sam Walker - the Laminair.

Once again TC you have come up trumps.

There is no way I really want another OH, so do you want me to PM you one with the answer? I shall not play at all if you accept.

Awaiting response mate.......

edit: you PM me one from work and I'll post .....

I thought that you'd notice that you dirty bugger!!
Not at all - me fighter pilot.......semper in excretia, solum profundum variat.....

Then you're lucky it varies mate, I'm always in deep ****!!

I'm negotiating with our IT Dept Head to enable access to PhotoBucket or the like, so that I can put something up from here and then monitor it from home when the lines in, these sites are currently blocked and I'm only the Technical Director, he thinks he's God!!

Thanks for the offer, I'll try and sort something out, but I have to go in an hour and there's a storm raging at the moment and lights are flickering again, so if you don't get anything by then it'll have to be another OH.

Thanks LM,

On the way! Good job you sent me the "sharp" address, otherwise it would have gone to your work address!

Edit:

I'm off now 'til Monday coffee time! Lightning Mate kindly offered to be my Proxy Host and monitor the Challenge, so I sent him the image, clues and answers just before the time-stamp of this post. However, his light, which was on for some time after I sent them, has now gone out. It may be that the phone line problem he suffered mid-week at home has returned, as I'm sure he would normally have responded to its reciept in the time his light was on, so he has probably been cut-off and it's timed-out.

Therefore, I suggest that if LM hasn't returned and posted something by the time another player comes on line and can offer a Challenge, then it's Open House
