Looked at the AM-6 and others in the range this morning, but my sources had those down as Italian, not from Argentina. But I'm sure it is the AM-6.....

Hello

I think it's time to close the challenge ...It seems it's really a rarity!

Aviation Magazine 1951 tell us ,it is the:
MANTELLI AM-11 Albatros
single seater built by the "Club Argentino de Planeatores Albatros" at Buenos-Aires.
When googling AM-11 ,we got another Mantelli aircraft ...
Thank you for participating

Skytrain ,you owe the control

(have you a pic of the PM 12 glider ?)

According to Bill Gunston in his "World Encyclopedia of Aircraft Manufacturers"
Adriano Mantelli emigrated to Argentina 1949, taking Alaparma designs; produced AM-10 and AM-11 Albatross pusher 2- seaters.

I think that, at the end of the year, we could have a "Challenge of the Year" vote (or another Christmas Special).

If so gentlemen, please make a note of this one.

Not bad for a youngster skytrain....

Thanks Richard, although I think it was really a joint effort, and with a lot of help. And I only got the designer. So Open House guys.

Richard, here is the PM-12 glider:

I believe the last one was designated the MB902.

Two DB605's mounted in tandem in the fuselage driving wing mounted contraprops. Fascinating!

This is a later impression. I think construction of this version actually began

I'll take your word for it. I have seen another three view labelled MB.902 which looks identical to the one posted and includes a diagram of the engine set up, but I have no way of knowing if that one was mislabelled.

I suppose it is even more remarkable that two different designs were proposed with this same powertrain concept. Shame one of 'em didn't fly

Did you mean a silhouette?

It isn't a Delta.
