I was going to suggest the Klemm L 25 Seaplane when all the talk about Daimler came up. I had found a photo, but this had a Salmson radial, but I now believe that the L 25 was also built with Daimler engines, so possibly it may be correctly called the Daimler-Klemm L 25a or W (wasser= fitted with floats) ?

I'm trying not to get sidetracked here.

Do you mean Daimler-Fleugzeugbau ?

Something isn't quite right, but the Hansa-Brandenburg W29 just about fits. Were more than one type of engine fitted to it?

Klemm L 25 Seaplane
G'day Sinco! I found a reference to this calling it the Klemm WL 25 Ia powered by a 2-cyl 20 hp Mercedes-Benz engine, but no photo.
But to me, if you sliced Richard's photo the fuselage cross-section would look like a house with a high-pitched roof and that doesn't seem to fit any photos of the Klemm 25 nor does that engine profile which reminds me of the Sopwith Tabloid.

Summary; no idea.

Thanks Richard...would have struggled without the clue. Found a picture on the net of the L20 with an undercarriage, but there was reference to the prototype, D-608, being built as a seaplane.

An easy one for today:

Lightning Mate

{Should be an e-mail at work address.}

Just picked up my 'kids' from the movies having seen "Alice in Wonderland" 3-D. They thought it was very average and nowhere near as good as Avatar. Any of you guys seen it?
