HD it is indeed the Caproni Ca.100

A Caproni Ca.100, captured by No.112 Sq at Agnone, August 1943, Caproni Ca.100 I-GUAS, one of five such trainers previously used by the Catania Aero Club, Sicily, of which three went to No. 112 Sq RAF, and one each to No. 3 and No. 450 Sq RAAF. It was flown at Agnone, August-September 1943 and was used for taking maintenance personnel on joy rides.
You have control

Blows my theory on Italians - "Look good but don't work" (applies to everything). This one obviously doesn't look good but did work! Are you sure it is Italian??? I can't see any shades..... RR

Would never have got it without the GA-2 code and Lakes 'Flying Units of the RAF', I certainly didn't recognise it

I've left quite a bit of this one as I think its hard enough, so shoot me down

Up early to get my son on a bus excursion to Canberra. Wayne, I'll never find it again on that 'other' forum but memory says it was a Canadian power-plant experiment with the Fairey Battle...?

Graeme. That would be the Canadian Battle R7439 re-engined by Fairchild at Quebec with an 850hp Wright R-1820-G3B Cyclone.

RR it is really Graeme's call I just followed his lead and got the facts from H A Taylor's Book "Fairey Aircraft since 1915".
Us, Pongo's always believe it is deep penetration that counts.
