Reading on 'Hale' should be 'HALE' short for High Altitude Long Endurance

Could be myopia or an illusion, but it looks like the artist has painted one engine higher than the other?

Well done John, it is indeed the Grob G.600 HALE twin jet.

Noyade, I thought the same. I was going to move it a little in my adaption of the silhouette but then decided against it!

Open House

Morning all.

Got to go now. Back at 1000, by which time I'm sure this one will have been solved.

lol, thanks for your support

This one I do know, its the Lockheed L.133 of 1939. an unfortunate aberration for those of us who like the think that the USA never thought of Jets until we showed them how

Yes HD.

They also knew about the aerodynamic advantages of a canard system.

The Lockheed it is.

You have the thread.

Thank you. Nice pic too Graeme! I do believe the wings of the P-80 were adapted from this design though so it did not go completely to waste.

I think this one is probably going to be incredibly easy, but its my first go at turning a photo into a silhouette. if it works I'll try harder in future

I like it. I'll like it even better if I'm correct...Armstrong Whitworth AW.23?
