Morning all...finally some time to spare!

Martin, my initial thought was mid/late 30's, but nothing seems to match. Is this actually a lot newer, maybe even a recent homebuild?

Apart from the tail it is reminiscent of a Curtiss Robin.

That's the one, Ken

145hp Warner Scarab; span: 35'6" length: 22'10" v: 110/95/x ceiling: 12,500'; ff: 6/3/54. Rebuilt from a wrecked Piper PA-12 [N5901V] c/n 301 (wings and landing gear) and PA-18 (empennage), plus some parts of a Fairchild 24W; modified in 1965 with 165 Super Scarab, flaps and elevators. Still active into 2009.

How blind can one be. My eyes had stopped at Fulton Airphibian (my yesterday's challenge) in my search of photos, and now I realize the the Faust stood all the time next to it in that Giggle-Image return page.

Fairly, especially when a fighter pilot comes from out of the sun.

Thanks Martin...the undercarriage kept reminding me of a Fairchild - never made the connection until you mentioned the engine.

I see an air-driven prop pitch change mechanism on the propeller hub.

I think that probably makes it European.
