You were silent about bi, so I take yours has strutted high wing and a funny "ailette" down to support the landing (take-off, as Mate says) gear.

"Mate" says what where? What post are you talking about?

Was that a response to my 26,576?

"Mate" says what where? What post are you talking about?
I was joking about an earlier remark of Mate that landing gears should actually be called as take-off gears. Never mind.

The capital-Mate is LM, BTW.

High-wing or backwards staggered bi?
Ah.

Biplane...as I answered David on previous page.

No backwards stagger.

Sorry, missed that part of 26,577.

Cannot reconcile in the pic the biplane but not backward stagger. My shortcomings, probably… .

The challenge? Sure, but we're already half way down this page...
But if it helps the "thousands" of viewers, why not...

Reg mate, I'm lost.

The leading edges of both wings are level. They are of course of different chords. But there is no stagger, if I understand, as in say the Airco DH-5.

Ok. I plead no contest. They are level.

Guessing myself whether this was WW1 or interwar, and what was its role

When I was 8 years old I drew a large picture of a Russian Bison bomber and stuck it on my bedroom wall. Occasionally I would go outside and keep my eye out for one if it flew overhead.

I was a very stupid 8 yr old.

I rattled my teeth to the dentist, thank you for asking.

AN-2s are regular here. One does sightseeing city tours. I see some on the sea-side, too, doing tourist flights, I think they are Polish.

I find the sound rather soft, a bit like there were a lot of liberal tolerances. That's why they are so durable, I think.

When I was 10 - 12 years old, Soviet Mig-15s often draw contrails in the shape of 8 over the town I lived in. Given the fact that it was not Soviet airspace, there was always a debate between the officials and the public if they were in fact made over the sea and drifted, or plain made on our space. Nothing to send to scramble and find out…..
