Not been in long, just had something to eat and a quick look in on SC, checked AQ while waiting for your response and was going to ask if you forgot to enter, obviously not from your statement above! I wonder WTF happened?
I haven't got anything ready to go at the moment, but will sort sort something out before I go to bed!

Business is pretty good thanks, it could be better and there are always problems of one sort or another, usually suppliers going under or stopping making something we use, or changing the spec and rendering it useless for us! Some of our instruments in use in Japan were damaged by the earthquake and we are repairing them. Also some bearings we need for a new product to be launched in six weeks have been delayed by the tsunami, which wrecked the manufacturing plant.
On top of that we are having the Grand Opening of our new factory extension in three weeks, so there's builders everywhere!
I hope your boy continues to improve and remains well enough to stay at home.

I think the main landing gear looks like those early bicycles that just took your weight while you strode along, always makes my eyes water just looking at that and imagining how bumpy the "roads" must have been then 
As for the outriggers, as you say, a bit over-engineered. The landing gear was probably its most notable feature!
