Looks pretty similar to a Martin Mariner, but there must be a catch somewhere...

That explains the absence of wing floats
Even though... one never knows... directional fans... magneto repulsive fields... dark magic...

Typo. Should have been at Shavrov (the history of Russian aircraft).

So are you saying that the engines did not come from Shvetsov?

It may well be in Shavrov but I don't have a copy of it. Yes, the engines are 2ASH-83s. RR

Edit: the later re-design had "removable" mainwheels for roughfield work!
