Evening RR,
A project? Two turbojet engines or four? A freight door, so is it not that early?
Edited to say, finishing my evening meal and just fishing to keep Martin awake, before I have a good look!
Good call Ken , nothing up sleeve and bed soon too: Graeme, Brian ???

Oh well, new day and a quick bit of sleeving!
After all those jets, something not so speedy and almost a silhouette
Off to work, will monitor from 0800 UT(GMT)

Good morning gentlemen,
I've just been getting "Database Error" messages, hopefully they've been sorted now!
I'ts not British Martin!
Oddly enough Reg, that sort of ties in nicely with the clue I've already given!!
Edited to say the clue was the word "speedy"

Arriba! Arriba!
A Bleriot?
A Bleriot?
After accompanying the American aviator, James Ward, on several flights, Gonzalez Crocier y Crocier left for France to study at Bleriot's school in Chateaufort. In December, 1913 the International Aeronautical Federation granted him pilot's certificate Number 1566.

G'evening Graeme,
You're on the right path mate, as was Reg with Arriba, arriba!
Not a Bleriot Reg!
It was rather like the Wright's efforts but nearly a decade later and on the West Coast. Two brothers, experimenting with a glider on the local sand dunes, then onto this powered machine

From the land of Tacos and Tortillas
The wing support wires were attached with bicycle spokes and spoke adjusters. I'm not sure if this occured to the Wright Brothers!

Not Cuban mate, you may have missed that I said it was on the West Coast, implying USA.
Graeme was hot on the trail, but there's no mention of aeroplanes in his link.
Pat Boone tried for part of this one's title in '62 but didn't quite make it

Gonzales 1912
1910: Arthur and Willie Gonzales, 435 16th Ave, San Francisco CA. 1915: (Flying School) Los Angeles CA. 1920: Ended operations.
1912 = 1pOB; 35hp Kemp I-4; span: 38'9" length: 35'0". Flown for a few years around Woodland CA, to where the brothers boxed and shipped the airplane by rail since San Francisco had an ordinance at the time prohibiting flying machines within city limits. Ultimately stored in a shed until 1974, when it was rebuilt as a static display at Travis (AFB) Air Museum.

That's near enough for me Reg!
It's full title was the Gonzales No1 Tractor Biplane
Edited to say, I see you've found that now and the link, so I'll delete my link to avoid duplication.
