Hi Bri. This guess is no better than your last, the subject aircraft is not the Yak- 30.

Give that man his Easter Egg. The subject aircraft was from Russia.

That's the spirit Mel!

Hmmm...some early Sukhoi jets have that oval section on the front of the cockpit.

Sukhoi T-3?

Sorry for the delay Graeme. Hectic day yesterday building the set for the play was shattered by 23.30 and hit the sack.
Unfortunately this one was not from the Sukhoi stable.

Hi Bri. You have the correct manufacturer but this aircraft was not the La.156 or it predecessors the La.152 or 154.

How about the La 250 Anakonda? If by any chance it is correct then it should be Open House as everything bar the type number was already posted!

My earlier guess was a Lavochkin La.150, but as you can see, I changed it to the La.156. Is it indeed a La.150 ?

Bri. You are getting there by process of elimination. However, this aircraft is not the La.150 it is the La.15.

You have control.

Thanks Mel! That was a fun and frustrating challenge. I notice the hoop on the gun-sight is visible on your La-15 photo. An obvious clue I over-looked. Here is the next challenge:

All that dynotape on the panel makes me think it's British, the high coaming puts me in mind of something rotary, but the thing seems to have flaps and a single piston engine so maybe a Fairey Jet Gyrodyne?

Sorry, not British. Older than the Fairey Jet Gyrodyne.

As hard as I try, I cannot remember the name of the aircraft. If it is one I'm thinking about it is/was;

US manufacture.

High wing

Two place, side by side.

A bit tricky to land. (Well, at least for me it was.)

Radial engine. (Could have been a Warner.)

Had the Coupe in the name. (I think.)

I tried looking it up on the Internet and failed miserably.

Oh, and we're talking about me flying one a hell of a long time ago.
