Sorry, not from India, though a similar timescale, it had quite a mixed ancestry, rather like the Marut.

Noyade has it - OH

The HA300 was designed by Willy Messerschmitt in Spain bfore the project was sold to Egypt. Financial constraints following the 6 Day War killed it off after only 3 prototypes. The Marut was designed by ex Focke Wulf chief Kurt Tank drawing on his experience in Argentina and achieved series production.

Given the promenance given to the four sets of engine instruments I take it the engines weren't all that reliable. Something WW2 German jet then.

Going by the simple layout how about the Heinkel He 116?

There were two variants of this but this is the only image of the challenge type I can get to link:

Thanks Noyade, haven't picked 2 on the bounce for a while. Surprisingly (to me anyway) this baby hasn't appeared before.

It isn't from Scandinavia, but it is a delta-wing aircraft. Unfortunately, I was unable to source any instrument panel photos of the mystery aircraft.
