What Cockpit? MK VI
`makeover`...
This is a Russian aircraft and I found the image from one of those "walkaround" sites on the web.
I`ll guess it maybe an Su 26,29,or 31,although the nose appears to be more pointed, but maybe lens distortion..

Now for something equally interesting but a bit of a change of format. I couldn't find a photo of the instrument panel, but there is sufficient information on the photograph to enable an educated guess as to the identity of the aeroplane.

Yes indeed, Noyade. It is Baxter Ellis at the controls of the 5-hp Blackburne Tomtit powered twin-airscrew Gnosspelius Gull. Taken at Cramlington Aerodrome. Your control.

Good call Graeme , nice Challenge Brian!
Regretably, it seems that Baxter Ellis was not long for this world!
From Wiki "The second aircraft was unregistered and was flown at Lympne as No. 19, it crashed at Cramlington on 18 June 1926 killing the pilot"
