Yes, it is Blatchford Field, Edmonton Municipal/Industrial/City Centre Airport, Alberta, (CYXD). The hangar was home to many aviation greats, such as Grant McConachie and Wop May, to name a few. The hangar is visible in the upper left corner on the photo below. A replica of the hangar presently stands in Fort Edmonton Park. You have control.

I see this is open house so can I try this thread for the first time?
The aerodrome in question is behind the factory buildings in the foreground, but they may provide a clue.

Not Eastleigh. Maybe this picture of the same place in 1939 will help. If you can recognise the aircraft in front of the hangars it should give a clue, but they are not that easy to see!

Not Heston, but yes RAF Peterborough (Westwood). The factory in front is Baker Perkins who flew their "executive" Aztec from there after the RAF station closed. It was formerly the home of 7 FTS with their Harts and Audaxes, as in the 1939 photo.
Over to you.

Bimini, The Bahamas?
That's what the runway looked like when I landed there.
Hum, come to think about, that ruway looks better than the runway at Bimini.

Okay, thanks, like I said, the runway looks too good to be Bimini. We only did about $25,000.00 in damage when we landed there in a Jet Commander back in the mid-70s. We had to replace the left flap, right main gear door and the bottom rotating beacon. The next time I told the owner no, pick a different airport, he listened to me.
(And if I ever find that Lear Jet pilot that told me the runway was just fine, I'm going to wack him up the side of the head.
