Which Aerodrome?
There is no doubt: Kamloops, BC, Canada (CYKA).
A top spot in Canada for fishing in the spring and fall, golf in the summer, and skiing in the winter. I first flew into Kamloops in May 1971! The tower had only been open for a year or so and was still a temporary cab perched on top of what looked like a high-voltage electricity transmission tower. Where are those old black and white photos? . . .

grizzled is correct. Kamloops, (CYKA), British Columbia, located in south-central B.C., at the confluence of two branches of the Thompson River, and Kamloops Lake. You have control.

Open House
OK . . I realised I shouldn't post a pick right now as I'm currently on the opposite side of the earth from evansb (and the rest of you sods lucky enough to be somewhere in the western portion of North America). Which means -- what with sleep and work -- I won't be ppruning for the next 20 hours or so.
OPEN HOUSE it is!

DavidsOffice, 10 out of 10, Gold Star, big tick VG. Over to you.
The new Mandalay International which replaced the old airport, formerly used by the RAF many years ago. The civil terminal is on the north western side and the ramp on the south east (foreground) is the military ramp where an occasional MiG would appear.
The terminal can cater for 6 widebodies at a time, but the largest visitor is the ORBIS DC 10.

Hmmm...
Northwest Orient DC-3, Convair 240/340 on the wall showing the new equipment that the Municipal Airport might eventually aspire to seeing, sparse vegetation and sparsely inhabited, foothills terrain.
For a real SWAG, how about Boise, Idaho??
