What little road traffic I can see appears to be on the left side of the road so my hazard is that this field is in the UK!

Sorry, not Fowlmere nor Strandishall. The air base is not in Great Britain nor on the European continent.

Pensacola, Florida? I seem to remember a John Wayne movie set in the 30s & 40s where all flying from there was in floatplanes. They do look a lot like N3Ns.

I think that truck making the left hand turn towards the Officer's Club is an early model Nissan, how about Japan?

The layout certainly loooks to me like that of Andover, at least as it was circa 1970?
