You are correct with Hatfield but it is Hatfield Herts
The photo is the original de Havilland flying club at Hatfield phot dates from 1937. The buildings were in the area of the field that is now the Bishop square development car park.
To visualise the setting the art deco hangar from the earlier pic can be seen in lower right of this more recent shot

Thank you,Wunper. Just for the record, I think that you will find the correct name for the airfield prior to DeHavillands moving there from Stag Lane, was Hatfield (Chiswick), Herts. Chiswick does not refer to the west London location. Actions Stations,page,113, refers.
The following clinched it somewhat. The late Alex Henshaw, M.B.E. overhead Hatfield in a Mew Gull. The painting is by courtesy of R.A.F-Art.com.
Open House.

Lots of mangroves, so somewhere in the Tropics. It doesn't seem to fit any Queensland aerodromes, and the divided highway/dual carriageway seems to indicate a fairly populous area, so how about either Malaysia or Brazil?
Also, the runway markings on the closest threshold seem very strange - two numbers?

Well done.
