Time to call it a day with "Which Aerodrome" I believe. Many thanks for some interesting contributions. Cheerio.
Why? I am sure you have plenty more to input, your knowledge of the world's aerodrome is something to be admired and I for one will miss it.

There has been a lot of recent development at this location. The (recent) photo below is the same airport although it may appear differant.

Northern Hemisphere

Good attempt, and similar in many ways. Sadly you need another 5 hours flight time to get to this destination.

Hmmm...

5 hours further than the Azores in a 744, or 2 hours if you were lucky enough to be on Concorde (or 15+ hours if you were unlucky enough to be in a pigboat!):

Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados!

Sorry; my image posting skills are deficient (again).

Open house, until I figure out how to correct the errors of my ways.

Thanks, MReyn.

This will be the last obscurity from my files (I think).

Definitely not Yellowknife, but less than a day's ride in a Pigboat.

Gotta be someplace in the Arctic. Resolute?

I'm racking my brains to try and remember where Survair operated that Mosquito.

Not Resolute, but it is north of 60. Pacific Western was the major operator into this airport, if that's helpful.

By the way, the operator of the Mossies (B.Mk 35's for those interested in such things) was Spartan Air Services, not Survair. The photo was taken in 1963, the final year of the six year, high level (30k'+) photogrammetry contract of the Canadian Arctic. The guys were waiting for weather to clean up the last of the missing lines.

Good thinking, but not Whitehorse; the terrain is not close enough.
