Affirmative. Roomy, Nice handling old pup, if hugely underpowered - if OEI, the other didn't have enough oomph to even get you to the scene of the accident!

They were 'made' at Warton which was also a reception airfield for US aircraft inbound to resupply front line losses.

I would go with Tiger_mate. Warton was established by the USAAF in September 1942 as AAF Station 582, then in October 1943 it was named Base Air Depot 2. I understand the aircraft were shipped across the atlantic assembled at Speke Liverpool and then flown to Warton.
