There are clues in the photo if you look hard enough at the end of the runway.
The cars in the photo will give you a clue to the age of the photo which is also important when guessing the location.
I will post another photo later if this is too hard.

Looks like either the Severn Bridge or the Humber bridge in the background. I don't know of any microlight strips near the Severn bridge, so I assume it must be ooop north...
Don't Know what its called but I think its just north east of Ely in Cambridgeshire between two of the four railway lines that cross the road to Prickwillow. Queen Adelaide is a place nearby.

A disused (wartime?) airfield. The design of the overhead wires on the railway suggest more then two tracks. the lighting suggest that the sun is to the right of the picture.
The only place that I can find that matches the above is Tholthorpe.

Radlett it is. Photos taken in 1990 before the runways were dug up. Radlett was the factory site of Handley Page and the home of the Halifax bomber, Victor and Herald to name but a few. Whose runways ended their flying days in these microlight rally photos on what I believe was the last ever landings at this airfield.
