Network EBA
That entire industry is like a big ponzi scheme/car sales scam. There are far too many schools pumping out way too many CPLs that the industry can handle. Much like Dr's etc the number of CPLs produced each year should be severely limited and stop the over supply,
Too many Pilots.
The reason for the terrible conditions in Australia is essentially Boston Consulting, Oldmeadow Consulting, Geoff Dixon further compounded by Alan Joyce and essentially a Monopoly on air services.
The ship will turn, just like it did in the states. It’ll just take time.

The attitude of ‘GA’ to anything built in the 21st century is pretty awful and shortsighted. If someone is switched on and has good mentoring they’ll pick up a new light piston pretty quickly.

The MOST beneficial thing that can ever happen for industrial relations is the 1500 hour rule. Love it or hate it, the effect it's had putting upwards pressure on US wages is extraordinary.

That would be a godsend to Network as everyone <1500 would be applying there as I doubt such a rule would apply to charter and drives wages through the floor.

It is 2024, try to keep. Part 121 Operations.

As if the entire approach to EA negotiations wasn’t already devoid of ethics from QF IR, it appears management are now ambushing pilots at the gate. Did the pilots not get their message across at the meeting? Only an organisation fearful of the outcome of IB would engage in soft harassment to get their vote up.

They say they have apologised to him, mmm pigs might fly too.
I wonder what has happened to the grubby little IR manager who knew better than to maybe listen instead of deciding to go down the path of bullying & intimidation.
Whatever tactics are being used now, these pilots need to write everything down asap after they have been ambushed by these morons.
Could be great info for to use in a fair work case.
