Going off the list from last night, you will be either ML or SY initially, a lot of FO in those bases went to wide body. If your next question is command then it’s looking like 9yrs from same list and would be in SY, could be 10+ easy by end of yr as most commands are under 40yrs of age and as young as under 30 even. if the wide body sticks around lowest was about 4yrs. Commands are stretching further and further now, it could turn to be quicker at QF as their work force is older.

Thanks for the info. Haven’t got the interview stage yet. Fingers crossed

Just get in and then go for the base you want. If it's Melbourne you want, you'll most likely get it from everything I've heard. But saying you'd only take a Melbourne base in the interview is probably not great.

Yep, got an interview in June. Has anyone else been through an interview recently at jetstar?

Jetstar NZ will be recruiting around November if the word on the street is right.

The 2015 EBA lists the year 1 narrow body FO rate from July 2018 as $110 447. Has this figure remained since then?

Correct. Apparently there are EBA "negotiations" going on at the moment, but I'm having trouble finding out any information about it all.

Why are Jetstar pilots not initiating industrial action?

No flex takeoffs, full approaches with hold flown every approach and no working on RDOs would force them to the table.

I can only imagine there's a very limited time frame for the company to stop stalling and finally, after 4 years actually come to the party and give some sort of participation.

i can see the PIA application will be submitted in the next month of two, followed by actual action, whether its work to rule or significant actions similar to last time.

It's been well documented Jetstar have not bargained or participated in good faith, especially with their inflated and embarrassingly pathetic coasting's. The Fair Work Commission has also made comments on this so i guess when this does finally go to arbitration they will be less than patient with the Jetstar stalling tactics.

Remind me what happened last time? What I remember from 3 years ago was a lot of hot air and big talk but in the end the planes still flew and the opportunity to get a payrise was lost as Covid sucked the life out of the industry. But then again I may be missing the "big picture".

There was already a heap of people left over for propstar NZ who were already in the pipeline pre covid. I think they’re finishing them (or starting them?) off before any more NZ recruitment.

Of course they will still fly, why would they not?

Its not just politicians who don't answer the question actually asked. Let me ask the question again. What happened last time?
