They've got a bit on their plate at the minute with several pesky unions wanting to walk off the job. I'm sure they'd look at strikebreakers if they could only get them trained......
Sit tight, its approaching Christmas. Management are usually halfway out the door by now, they're only hanging around to work out the 'strategy' for the upcoming stoppages.
Personally I think you won't hear much until next year, but its just my .02c.

I don't believe there is any set timeframe, it's just as required.
I have heard between 2 days through to a couple of months as well. With the amount of people still on the hold, plus J* NZ shutting down, it might be a bit of a wait on the hold till you hear something.

18 new frames coming from August 2020, unlikely they'll be slowing recruiting down

Mate I think we're all on the same page that it IS total BS. Even if they did get rid of 787's (which is likely) the most jnr 787 guys would filter back to the 320.
Recruitment may come to a grinding halt when the effect of the Corona Virus outbreak is felt, it is going to be a massive blow to the worldwide airline industry.
Wouldn’t panic just yet Ollie. According to the CDC (as opposed to click bait media) there’s a long way to go before this would create large scale problems for the population.

Official infection numbers are roughly doubling every day. Yesterday Australia had zero cases nothing to worry about, now 4, one of whom returned from China 3 weeks ago!
Check the loads this week on SYD-HKG vs coming home. That’s assuming the crew show up to work! I’d be having a long hard think if it was me.
Even if it blows over the damage will still be done in people’s minds, not good even if you have a job let alone are trying to get one.
