Do you guys think the EBA negotiations and the possible disruption over Christmas will have an impact on hiring and training?

It will have no impact whatsoever. The people looking after the hiring and training are different to the people doing the EBA negotiations. Never assume that JQ use a coordinated strategy to be energetically efficient!

Does anyone have a gauge on the usual wait time for feedback following an assessment day? I am quickly wearing out the refresh button on my emails.

Back when I applied it was anywhere from a month to a few months. For the new/recent applicants Iíve heard as few 2-10 days... Itís all over the place.
So are their start dates, as Iíve heard Ďearly 2020í and have also heard Ďafter May 2020 due NZ closuresí...

Sorry I canít give you more

They've got a bit on their plate at the minute with several pesky unions wanting to walk off the job. I'm sure they'd look at strikebreakers if they could only get them trained......
Sit tight, its approaching Christmas. Management are usually halfway out the door by now, they're only hanging around to work out the 'strategy' for the upcoming stoppages.

Personally I think you won't hear much until next year, but its just my .02c.

I don't believe there is any set timeframe, it's just as required.

I have heard between 2 days through to a couple of months as well. With the amount of people still on the hold, plus J* NZ shutting down, it might be a bit of a wait on the hold till you hear something.
