Probably one of the last on the old process but having had my stage 3 on Monday I'm overjoyed to say I passed! 2 trips to Hampshire from Sydney in as many months didn't go to waste afterall :)
Told it'll likely be a January start date but wont know for sure until August(ish), anyone else in the same boat? I also was successful at the very start of April with the old process. Was told exactly the same information as you. I have my medical booked in July but it was a long wait so get booked in early! And congratulations to you 😉 Tom |
Congratulations to you too, great achievement!
I wont be back to the motherland until the back end of the year anyway so have plenty of time but thanks for the heads up. Will be checking in and updating on here as things start to become clear so it'll be good to get to know some people potentially on the same course before the actual start date :ok: TC |
Hi There,
I completed S1 of the new recruitment process last Friday 17th May and I haven't heard anything back yet regarding the results. Does anyone know who done S1, how long do they take to let you know the outcome? Much appreciated. |
Hi everyone. Passed my stage 2 waiting for next email to book assessment day. Good luck everyone👍 |

Hi there! Have you heard anything about stage 3? The info I got was that all dates for 2019 was fully booked so we will have to them next year?
I'd keep checking every week or so and see if any open up due to drop outs/NATS opening them. |
I hope the interviews going to be sometime this year, not sure I can stand another 7+ months in my current job waiting on an interview :P

From what others have said, even if you pass stage 3, the course start dates aren't until Jan 2020 at the earliest. Then again, working a long notice is better than not knowing haha
I found out I'd passed in October '18, and I finally start in July. Yes, the wait has been mildly excruciating, but if it's right for you, then the inconvenience will hopefully be a distant memory! |

2. There are two possibilities : 14/01/2020 or 25/03/2020 ( the most probable )
Anyone know what date the Global course in July starts this year? |

Today I got an email from NATS confirming that all Stage 3 dates for 2019 were full and I will be invited for Stage 3 in 2020. They've "received an overwhelming number of applications". Doesn't sound too good for the probability to get in :) but it's worth a shot, right.
|
Got an email today stating that due to the high number of aplicants this year I won't be doing my stage 3 until 2020 now. No big deal glad to have it cleared up and gives me something to look forward too in the new year now! :)

Remain positive though, you've achieved a lot just getting through to stage 3 and whilst you may have to wait, there will always be a position for the right candidate. Irrespective of how many people attempt stage 3, the process is set up only pick the applicants with the right attributes and if you tick all the boxes it doesn't matter how many pass or fail prior to your own interview. Best of luck for the future! |

They only proposed 8 dates for this year , that’s not a lot compared to the number of applications. |
Global
anyone heading to fabulous Gloucester this year or next? I’m on a course there currently and honestly can not say a bad word about the place it’s truly brilliant there. Dm me any questions you might have about the college ======================== Until you have a posting history you don't have access to private messaging and adding urls. |

Class 3 medical
Can anybody advise what is allowed in regards to spherical difference for a class 3 medical license.
I was advised a spherical difference of less than 3 dioptres was accepted but the NATS website says the difference in correction should not exceed 2 dioptres. I don't want to waste anybody's time but with an eyesight of -0.25 and +2.50, does this make me ineligible? |

Serravelle I would check up on the specifications on the CAA website which has all the information needed especially on something like that which will have the minumum tolerances for the Class 3 medical certificate.
Click and download the 'ATCO Medical Requirements' link towards the top of the page and all the technical information should be there. I maybe shouldn't have highlighted it, but what's done is done. |

I am sure you'll be fine. I assume you wear glasses or contacts? My vision is - 3.75 and - 4, and I received some feedback saying I may need extra check ups every 4 years when I'm an ATC but that's it. Although I haven't had my medical yet so don't quote me on this!
I have a requirement on my medical certificate that I have to have a spare pair of glasses, but that's it. No one has mentioned extra checkups to me yet, but maybe that's because my prescription has been stable for some time now. |

i enjoyed the day! It flew by and consisted of exactly what they said it would. I haven't heard anything back yet, so I am now in the unknowing faze which is arguably worse than the days running up to the stage 3! The interview was long but it followed a similar theme to the countless past interview experiences posted on here. Just be calm, have your competency examples ready and it will flow nicely. Learn everything in the book, it is imperative as the knowledge test will ask you anything from any section. Group assessment is good fun, I can’t say anything about it I’m afraid as the scenarios will change. but be confident and work well as a team. Ultimately thought just try and enjoy the day. I really enjoyed it and thought all the staff at NATS were warm, friendly and enjoyable company. like I said above, I haven’t heard anything back yet, so take my advice in anyway you want. And good luck. |
Well I hope you'll get some good news soon!
Thank you for sharing info.... I have 2 days to go so I guess I will calm my nerves by then haha P.s. Anyone going for Stage3 on 13th and staying at Holliday Inn let me know. Maybe we can grab a cup of coffee the day before |

Sat my Stage 3 on Monday, and just like previous poster, the day was long but enjoyable overall.
For those reapplying following the old system, expect many changes to the format and interview. Can't say any more than that as we all know, but I personally think it's an improvement to the old ways. We have been told it can be up to a month to hear back, however this may speed up as they get more used to the new systems. Good luck to anyone waiting to attend or waiting to hear! |
Hi all, I am just curious, does the new recruitment process not include FEAST or DART tests?

Stage 1 is online and consists of aptitude tests, Stage 2 is online and consists of personality questions, Stage 3 is in person for interview, retesting Stage 1 and a group excersice |

Nope, it's been done away with entirely.

Interesting.
I suppose that the online tests are changed and are somehow similar to FEAST then? Yes and no. There are some analogues to the old feast, but overall it's just a very different set of tests |
Was nice meeting everyone at the assessment centre today, best of luck and I hope you all get the email you’re hoping for!

It's been a week today since my S3 day. They did say 30days or so, so i'm in the mindset of it being another couple of weeks before we hear. It's frustrating as they will clearly know our outcome! And i have been unsuccessful then it'll be tough to wait 30 days before finding that out.... I've put a lot on hold for this recently. |

However when I get an email I'm not sure I'd want to open it! |
