bjones - plc is a different legal status to Ltd. There are additional rules to be followed to be a plc compared to just a Ltd - an example is that there must be a minimum of £50,000 share capital for a plc, while Ltd company can get by (legally speaking) on just £1.

Great BA TV ad, with a good use of social media:

British Airways - Bring a plane down your street

fjencl 19th Jun 2012 14:03

Fantastic Advert

Truly amazing advert, you type in your post code and you end up seeing your street in the advert........superb and well done :D:D:D

JSCL 19th Jun 2012 14:14

Doesn't seem to work for me *sigh*.

Its a great ad, live overseas and we have a lot of Brits in the office, we have had great fun with it this morning!

PAXboy 19th Jun 2012 17:25

Neat, Google must be very happy. Enough standard material beforehand for the application to go and do the 'drive by' and capture three stills.

Curious that, on arrival, they disembark the pax from the right hand side. But then, in Adverty Land, anything is possible. :hmm:

Skipness One Echo 19th Jun 2012 22:43

Love the ad! They have based the computer generated imagery on G-VIIL which appears for real in parts, however it has B777-300ER / 200LR raked wings on the Westminster Bridge section. D'oooooh.

Awesome all the same watching a triple roll down your own street.

My car featuring in a BA ad !

PAXboy 20th Jun 2012 00:08

The post code for the House of Commons SW1A 0AA is accepted but the first two windows are blank and the third is general street further down the road.

Buckingham Palace has the same problem - so the Queen can't play this game! Heads will roll. :}

when should we expect the winter timetable to be released?

Fairdealfrank 21st Jun 2012 23:46

Quote: "when should we expect the winter timetable to be released?"

It's been released for a while, queenvic, except for LBA (in November).

BHDflyer 24th Jun 2012 23:13

Do any of you know when the first BA aircraft is due to land at Belfast ( BHD) now that they are taking over the route from bmi? Just curious as when you go into the BA site to book a flight the operators keep changing. Any ideas?

rowly6339 26th Jun 2012 20:59

I can't stop playing with the new BA ad on the website,i'm now just entering random post codes. I think i may have too much free time on my hands?. Top advert though well done to BA for that.

It seems that BA/bmi will be pulling out of Dublin just as quick as they went in, if their Winter schedule from October 28th is anything to go by.

Surreyman 27th Jun 2012 14:29
