Does anyone know where/when the Jetstreams fly these days? Wouldn’t mind a trip on one before they get replaced down the line…

Basically just HUY to ABZ or ABZ to WIC

Only 9 Jetstreams seem airworthy now with 5 or 6 in actual service on the schedule and contract flights.

Been doing the rounds for years. Unless it’s just become too much of a money pit I can’t imagine it being wrapped up any time soon. Seems to be very adept at grabbing short term contracts and also favourable deals on Ejets, not to mention not so long ago selling it off for millions and getting it back for pennies. Very much appears to be a side hobby to the real money spinners so long may it continue as it provides opportunities for a fair few people even if they don’t necessarily stick around.

They've recorded the smallest of operational profits for the last financial year, around 1% on their turnover. (214k profit on 22m turnover.) Last year's was about 2%.

So they do make money on their operations, albeit by the smallest of margins.

There are so many companies within the group that looking at any one individually doesn't give you a clear or full picture of the financials. One could be forgiven for thinking that might be the whole point. Get up to the ultimate parent company where all of this is brought together and last year looks like a couple of million loss. But who really knows?

Yeah but how much has RL invested of his own money. He has constantly propped up the company in the past. I’ve said it before, any other company would have gone bust years ago had it not been for RL ploughing his own cash in to keep things ticking along.

Would be odd having just brought in 4 x Embraer’s that seem to be regularly busy with charters. The second 190 has recently been activated.

They seem to do most football charters now and the Paris route at SOU seems much more punctual now. It is Eastern we are talking about though so anything is possible.

A profit in the aviation business is still something.

I think a lot of people have expected them to go under at some point but somehow they keep going and like you say making a profit is very good.

G-MAJD did it in three hours this afternoon, so the answer to that will be yes.

Lools like a positioning flight number.

Yes, went as EZE061P so a positioning, wonder if it’s sold.

PMI is normally a fuelling stop for heading south. Has it continued on after refuelling?

It may be in support of another forthcoming charter /contract with the Embraers or ATRs. When Eastern had the E190 and ATR operating out of Lisbon for TAP, a J41 was used before the charter to take equipment and spare parts etc out and then again to return them after the charter contract had ended. It's more likely to be something like this than a charter all the way to Palma in a J41 when they have much more suitable aircraft to operate it.

Sounds plausible - looks like a positioning flight number again.

One of the local Eastern crew reckons it's to do with the boss's yacht which is normally in Palma harbour....
