Yeah I agree with you and also think that x4 flights a week a good place to start instead of daily…..then always the scope to increase to daily in time.
On another subject, shame CWL can’t get some of these Turkish seasonal airlines in. BRS has got SunExpress & Corendon and look like Southwind Airlines also for S24.
Also does anyone know if the Eastern/Air France ORY flight continues for the winter season ?

Can anyone throw any light on the figures returned for May?
Cardiff 530 pax and EMA 763 - are these correct and I know they can get updated.
The punctuality stats show 57 rotations for May and that averages to 9.4 pax per flight and probably answers your winter question assuming the figure 530 is correct. EMA is not much better at 13 per flight and I couldn't even find Southampton Orly yet it did operate but they are provisional figures so I suppose will appear over the next few weeks.

The potential is there. May 2018 - 6835 passengers and May 2019 6957 passengers. That's on average 112 passengers per flight on a daily flight.

Was CDG double daily on some days back in 2019?
Edit: It was 11x weekly. Unsure on which days though.

At last it appears the Eastern CWL-ORY flights are now also bookable through Air France direct, not tried for a few weeks but last time I did a search with AF to ORY it suggested CWL-AMS-NCE-ORY !!!!
For now at least it gives the Eastern flight an opportunity plus it also has an AF flight number according to the ORY arrivals/departures board which can only be a positive thing really to make the travelling public aware of this route as the marketing has been pretty naff really.

Looks like Loganair is upgrading the EDI-CWL-EDI route from the EM4 to AT7 for next year (according to the seating plan).
Would be great to see this go double daily during the working week and even GLA being reintroduced too.
But for now a larger aircraft is better than nothing and most probably due to the phasing out of the EM4 aircraft too.

I would say that's made their return to CDF much more likely. Filing slots as we know is not a definitive yes but shows you're on the airlines radar
QR filed slots at BHX for S22 but never showed up, then again for S23 when they did. Slots were filed (I think) in Jan then official announcement for a July start made in March - so the timing of this slot filing for CWL fits time wise with how they did BHX.

I'm not sure Loganair are phasing them out anytime soon, especially as they announced a project in collaboration with the Met Office to measure weather data, which will see all their Embraer 145’s equipped with atmospheric water vapour sensors.
