Qatar Airways
What’s with the Qatar Airways flight departing for DOH on 15/11? It was showing on the airports webpage departure screen. Obviously connected with the Football World Cup……
I wonder if this would/could be used as a pending resumption of the flights between DOH-CWL-DOH??

Just curious as to whether QR will announce at this time a planned return as supposedly on Twitter it’s been mooted that some announcement from an airline for CWL is due soon and all top secret until then.

Ryanair to commence BFS-CWL-BFS flights for Summer 2023 season (x2 weekly)….interesting choice and will go head to head with Aer Lingus to BHD but great to see another destination for Ryanair.
Could there be more to come from Ryanair at CWL ?

Summer ‘23 although a bit busier has still lost capacity with Vueling and TUI it seems. CWL has lost Naples for example. Hopefully it’s just a result of the cost of living crisis and it will continue to improve but sad to see Vueling reduce yet another route.

Whispers of a Ryanair Base beginning May 1st, interviewing crew soon. Its either an early April Fool or a possible great start to a New Year.

FR base
“interviewing crew soon”
If you’re alluding to this site (https://careers.ryanair.com) advertising cabin crew for “Cardiff” as a location not a base necessarily, I wouldn’t read too much into it as they’re also advertising for Brighton, Stoke on Trent, Norwich, Exeter and various other cities which are seemingly very unlikely to be FR bases.
I hope to be proved wrong!

There was a comment on Facebook that someone called Ryanair who confirmed a new base at CWL from May 2023….not sure how they’d have the authority to announce that but weirder things have happened I guess !!
Hope we are proved wrong here and it does happen !! Time will tell.

Yeah I agree - read that too as some obscure U.K. towns and cities so could just be interview location and not an actual base……

In a statement Cardiff Airport said: “We are deeply disappointed to hear that Wizz Air has decided to cease their operations at Cardiff Airport. It is regrettable that Wizz Air has cited the economic climate as its reasons for withdrawing its operations out of Cardiff.
"There has been positive booking trends and very strong passenger demand to travel from Cardiff in 2022 and current booking trends for 2023 remains similar. We have been working closely with the airline since 2020 and their latest indications to us last week, were that bookings for this summer are ahead of this time last year, so we see their decision as surprising.
"Our thoughts are with our customers who are impacted by this news and now face disruption to their travel plans for this year, along with our friends and colleagues that are employed by Wizz Air based at Cardiff.
