Looks like Jet2 have dropped Bergerac for next summer, although still listed on the app, no flights available to book.
When will easyJet finally get round to launching their new BHX routes? It's all very strange and I see no effort at building awareness of the new base. A colleague at work has just booked a 2 week package to Turkey with EZY Holidays from BRS, he had absolutely no idea EZY Holidays are available to book from BHX.

GF,
Here in the East Midlands we receive a "junk mail" leaflet trumpeting the new Easyjet Holidays BHX operation and offering discounts on early bookings. That was just a month ago. I assume there has been a similar strategy in the West Midlands.
Anyway if you go on to the Easyjet Holidays website the BHX option is there. I suppose if people don't look beyond what they habitually do they may continue to book from elsewhere.

Thanks for the info, I'll let him know they can change their booking to BHX.
AT - glad to hear there's been some EZY marketing doing the rounds. Perhaps there's going to be some mega publicity fanfare launch in the next few weeks? 🙏 Just puzzles me that with Jet2 and TUI having such strong brand awareness in the West Mids and having had their S24 programmes on sale for a while, I'm amazed we've not seen any major orange publicity about the relatively significant EZY offering from BHX next summer

So far as launching seat only sales my bet is it'll happen coinciding with other 'gap filling' routes being launched, possibly as late as immediately before or just after Christmas/New Year.

BHX Timetable Winter 2023/4
See attached my pdf copy of the Birmingham Winter Timetable for 2023/4
Scheduled flights operate 29th October to 30th March, Charter flights operate 1st November to 30th April (basically all TUI flights, EnterAir, + Jet 2 Friday/Saturday Tenerife Charters LS2185/6)
As usually expect changes over the next 5 months, the likes of Air France, Eurowings & Lufthansa seem to change aircraft types on a daily basis!! Turkish Airlines website is showing quite a few A320 flights instead of A321s, but my main source of flight information Google Flights, still have them down as A321 flights, so expect changes over the winter period
I have also included the one off Lapland charter flights from EnterAir to Enontekio, and Pajala, but currently I have no information on flights numbers, or actual flight times, so just going off last year’s flight times instead!

Sunday 31st March Palma 17:05 EZY6629 22:50 EZY6630
Sunday 31st March Belfast 08:00 EZY6661 10:40 EZY6662
Monday 1st April Edinburgh 12:05 EZY6641 14:50 EZY6642
Friday 5th April Glasgow 19:00 EZY6651 22:55 EZY6652 - longer turnaround so I presume aircraft swap
Also an odd one, a third Amsterdam on a Thursday added for April only, I presume this might change into a BHX based aircraft in May. They have added a 5th service per week for AMS in high summer when the service reduces from 14 to 4 per week
One small step for easyjet, one great leap for BHX
Pete
Looks like a work in progress! I imagine more routes / frequencies will appear over the next few days.

According to other airport threads, there is another batch of new route announcements/launches from EZY due over the next couple of weeks, fingers crossed the full range of BHX based flights finally go on sale - perhaps with some new destinations to those already known?

Interesting. I assume these changes have been made based on how well / not well the holiday packages have been selling so far?
Will be interesting to see how the base develops. Compared to competitors, some of the weekly frequencies are very low and 9 X flights PW are currently summer only destinations, I wonder how these will be occupied in winter? But still great news that the base will be up and running from March and a coup for BHX given that it's 10 years since they opened a base in the UK.
