Connect Airways have never been going and now they never will
The Airbus 220 rumour was started by a fantasist who has a proven track record of making things up.
It's a very sad time not only for those who were employed by Flybe but also for elfast City, Exeter and also, in Particular Southamton Airport for whom Flybe provided the majority of flights

Easy will have seen a booking dip and pick up the Flybe slack. I predict that they will come out of this rather well.

Is this true? My understanding was Virgin would have access to the LHR slots and letting Flybe collapse would give them access to assets like the slots and even aircraft, but happy to stand corrected.

I’m staggered neither Blue Islands or Eastern have a live booking engine yet on their websites
This should of been live this morning with all flights plumbed in..... having been sat as a hidden page for at least a week or more - missed a trick there....

Just been confirmed that the Virgin Connect project is terminated and will not go ahead. Stobart Air will continue to operate but not for FlyBe. There is no money left..........
I see that easyJet are offering to get people stranded by the Flybe to their booked destinations for £65 until May. It doesn't say how they will do this; for example if I am booked to fly SEN-GRQ-SEN will they carry me on the booked dates SEN-AMS-SEN for £65 per sector? Likewise if I'm booked to fly SEN-CFR will they take me to CDG on that basis?

easyJet is working to help affected passengers by offering a dedicated rescue fee for customers up until the end of May. A fare of £65 (€72) including a 15kg hold bag will be available on presentation their original Flybe booking reference.
From Thursday 5th to Friday 6th March we will be offering free flights for Flybe staff to get them home.

If we are tallking about slots at LHR, weren't those remedy slots that are technically not an asset of any value? Slots at slot-constrianed airports in countries like the Netherlands (AMS) or Germany (DUS) cannot be sold as per local laws, so no asset here either. If it were different, Flybe certainly would have sold them at some point instead of going under without selling assets before.

I think that most major train companies are going to honour Flybe tickets for today to a reasonable destination, also Flybe employees will have a free train ticket to home.

I'm sorry to correct you but, Flybe Ltd a subsidiary of Virgom Connect are now im administration/liquidation
The slots are one of the airlimes assets and are potentially up for grabs by the highest biddet
Connect Airways has no assets and in order to take on the leases on the former Flybe aircraft, would have to do a deal with the aircraft lessors.
We now know that Connect Airways have ceased to exist and that the constituant parties are writing off their investment.
They will certainly not be interested in slots are the 68 Fkybe aircraft lying idle. As they feel they have spent enough money as it is

The ramifications of the failure are huge for BHD EXT and SOU so i'm sorry to say that there is going to be significant collateral damage
