New Flight From Bolton......................
UPDATED: VIDEO: Why was part of a Boeing plane spotted on a Bolton road? (From The Bolton News)
Sorry - Couldn't resist!
For those not familiar with the area, it replaces an old double decker red bus that's been on the site serving as a fast food takeaway / café for about the last 5 years. The bus is now a rather rotten, decrepit, knackered sight after having been well used late at night in one of Boltons rather more 'interesting' areas.
I don't expect the plane to look too good in 5 years either...........
From 'Steakout' to ' Steaks on a plane' the owner obviously is a keen film buff!

I wouldn't expect much to happen until CX has 6 or so 350's. Initial deliveries are 1 a month then later go to 2 a month. Even then it's not definite, nothing set in stone, plans change etc etc!

Which department is giving out unsubstantiated, proprietary rumour without any official confirmation to an enthusiast who happens to pick up the phone and call them?
I wonder wonder wonder...
By the way, how's it going with your imminent rumours about Hainan?
I wonder wonder wonder. Still bothering them with Facebook messages and phone calls ?
Oh, and those direct Facebook messages to Air China; how are they going?
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
Oh, and in May, you said Air India management had assured you that the MAN announcement would be within 3 months.
I wonder, wonder, wonder.
It's all taking spotter fanaticism to a new level.

it's all about frequency, that's why we have no A380 as they'd rather fly 5x a day with a 777 than 2x A380 to somewhere like LHR.

Both LOT and Alitalia are the main missing euro legacy carriers with a realistic chance of working, with an outside chance of TAROM being in that category too.
You would hope MAN are working on it, but with MAN having such a large loco operation, it may be putting those carriers off.

I suspect Alitalia may be preoccupied figuring out who's in charge this week, and where next week's rescue cheque is going to come from....
More turmoil as Alitalia chief executive quits suddenly

Re Sarahs "Just spoken to them in the London head office and apparently flights switch to A350 on 1st Feb 2016"
I think whats happened here is that the naughty chap who gave all the duff info about Hainan has now moved to answering the phones at Cathay HQ
Cathay are doing great at MAN so not sure why they would downgrade size wise to an A350 therefore ?

The A350 will only take over once the flights go to daily. There is a schedule at work for 8 weekly at the moment, so, would be an overall increase.
While I seriously doubt CX would give out any details of future plans on the phone, regarding Hainan, let's cut Sarah some slack.
It wasn't just one guy apparently giving duff info, the vice CEO of Hainan himself, George Osbourne and others all gave out 'duff info', so, hardly Sarah's fault for that.

Only one person keeps just getting off the phone to or back from messaging whichever airline and not one of them has come to fruition, so maybe it's 160 who you should be giving some slack to LAX.
The Hainan and Gideon statements were out in the public domain and were verifiable. All the other is just unsubstantiated w**k fodder.

Doesn't really apply to Manchester yet, but I suppose a smaller plane seven days a week is better than a larger one four days a week.

I would hope that a flight is on the cards, but, I don't think any of Osbournes visit to China nor the Chinese President's visit next month will cover flights. Hope to be proven wrong though.
On a side note, a visit to the AVP on Saturday for the first time in years, I noticed a hell of a lot of Chinese construction signs, they almost outnumbered English signs!

BAGSO.
Re your "Local media suggesting rumours of an announcement of massive Chinese investment in Manchester later this week. "
Perhaps a nuclear power station
