Not sure about that. It seems that all flights due to be operated by the E195 have defaulted to very high "All-In" fares. Hopefully this does not continue for too much longer as anyone who becomes aware of the flights following the publicity as each new route commences will surely be put off. For example, a return to Vienna is now showing as nearly £1000

An E95, either G-FBEH or J, is positioning in at lunchtime Monday to replace the E75

Whatever are they trying to do, kill off these routes when they have only just started them. I have just tried dummy bookings to Milan for the early part of July and all one way flights are around the £450+ mark. Does anyone have any ideas?

Flybe website now showing 'normal' range of prices.

Not good - bound to have cost a few lost ticket sales. Who knows what went wrong, who to blame? Certainly hope it doesn't happen again any time soon.

Thanks for that DC3 Dave. I was getting concerned about this and as you said would have cost a few ticket sales, just glad it didnt continue for much longer.

It looks like the fare issues were down to the aircraft changes and the subsequent difference in capacity.

Posts #4405 and #4409 talk about new tarmac being laid, the latter suggesting that SEN and tarmac do not go well together. I have had a good nose around this afternoon and there is no sign (as far as I can see) of any new tarmac being laid. The works being carried out on the old and new stands and apron all appear to be a good thick layer of concrete. Perhaps they have learnt from past mishaps.

It's not scientific, or proof of anything much, but I am impressed by the steady increase in prices on the new routes. Venice looked a bit shaky, but is steadily pulling clear from the 'silly base prices'. I would say only DBV seems to be static over the last week or so.

If Stobart pull this off, they'll deserve a great deal of credit.

apologies if this is posted further back the thread, but does anyone have a link to show the plans of the works that are being carried out at the airport?

Unfortunately, the plans aren't available online via Rochford District Council's website. I don't know if anyone else on here has access to them? I'd also be interested in viewing them.

Southend doesn't even get a sniff despite claiming that private jet traffic was up I think 50%. I wonder why

15 most popular UK-related airports for private jet charter in Q1 2017:

- Luton (LTN)

- Biggin Hill (BQH)

- Farnborough (FAB)

- RAF Northolt (NHT

- Manchester (MAN)

- Southampton (SOU)

- Oxford (OXF)

- Exeter (EXT)

- Cambridge International (CBG)

- Stansted (STN)

- East Midlands (EMA)

- Doncaster Sheffield (DSA)

- Durham Tees Valley (MME)

- Liverpool (LPL)

- Edinburgh (EDI)

Is that list in order - looks like it initially, but Stansted below Exeter?

This is far from the complete picture - the article claims to be a list of popular
airports for 'private jet charter' - so owners, governments, sheikhs and others
won't be counted....

it does throw doubt on the accuracy of the list though, whatever the criteria might be.

No matter what the criteria of private jet movements is, I can't believe EXT gets more than STN, or MME more than EDI
