Someone posted this routes online article on another forum and it mentions the MAX base but also says that EDI could be in line for some 787 ops from Norwegian too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the 787's US based? So the 787 and crew would technically be based in, say, Oakland, and operate to EDI, where they overnight?
Therefore there is no reason why we couldn't end up with both a MAX base and a couple of 787 flights. But given how far ahead they have announced Manchester, I guess a summer start for East Coast with the MAX will come first, with possible 787 flights coming either Winter 2017 or Summer 2018.

Has FLL-MAN been announced??? Can't see any press on it, just that they intended to open a crew base at FLL so far.

It's looking like any US flights will in fact be to Providence - around 60 miles southwest of Boston and Stewart "International", the same distance north of NYC.
Will the Scottish (and American) public take up on the old skool Ryanair style fayre of a flight to an airport nowhere near the marketed city?

The more I look at how Norwegian run their business, the better Ryanair looks. That's meant to be impossible IMHO.
Great to have new flights to new places for much cheapness but it's all built off the back of cutting corners and finding ways round the rules.

Remember as well that these are theoretical ranges, the Atlantic can have nice headwinds for things heading westbound at this time of year.
