They are on hold until at least September but even then I am in two minds whether to restart them.
Spanish Eyes has done a couple of posts with photos so I might leave it to him as my standard 4 or 5 photo weekly update might be over doing it a bit or I might carry on but with maybe longer gaps between updates. The bottom line is that I am still thinking about what is the best way forward as not everyone is interested in a new strip of tarmac or a few windows being installed from the previous week.

I would welcome your updates resuming, LTNman. As a LTN refugee, I am interested in developments, and thanks to pprune, you are creating a public record of this large redevelopment.
Yes vote me in to keep the updates...made Friday worthwhile !

Agree with all the posts, keep the updates coming. I agree the car park/set down areas are a bit boring now. The interesting bit will be the construction of the new roundabout and tieing in the dual carriageway. The bridge lift will be worth watching. The taxiway works will have to be viewed from Wigmore Park. Important that all posters keep on posting especially LTN man who has done so much.

I didn't realize the photos had a following so I will endeavour to keep them coming but maybe not every week as I will try to make a judgement about content and timings.

Planned completion dates and terminus
Found this airport summer publication that gives completion dates for some of the redevelopment. Clearly some dates have already slipped like the Pedestrian Bridge. What is really interesting is that the plan shows a mass transit route in pink that ends up between the drop off zone and the entry road. This would indicate that it will be underground as the passenger foot bridge would be in the way if it was above ground. On the other hand someone might have just put a random route on the plan just to indicate that a mass transit system is coming and the terminus will be in a completely different location.
If this is the location it would be quite a big tunneling project but could they build a station part under the entry drop off lane without affecting it during construction? Also it would be under one of the passenger bridge support foundations.
Summer 2016 Pedestrian Bridge
Autumn 2016 Pier B link building
Autumn 2016 Short term car park
Autumn 2016 Multistory car park
Autumn 2016 Dual Carriageway.
Summer 2017 Main Terminal extension
End of 2017 New pier
End of 2017 Baggage reclaim
End of 2020 Mass Passenger Transit
No mention about the new taxiway to 08 which is part of phase 1 or phase 2 and phase 3.

Construction update
With machinery located on the former exit route from the drop off zone the old steel sheet pilings are being removed to their left. While the ground at the far end of the Eastern Apron and landside is at the same height the landside ground rises to several metres by the time it reaches the camera so new steel sheet pilings have been put in for the new service road that will serve the undercroft of the terminal when it is dug out.
The three infills of Pier A are starting to make good progress with the left hand one just starting to receive cladding. While most of the windows of the terminal have been out of bounds for passengers since the terminal opened, with the removal of a corridor many of the windows will be looking out from a new departure lounge pub this winter.
The link building to pier B is being clad with smooth grey walls on this side only at the moment. The material is the same as what was used on the 3 cores of the passenger footbridge but is hidden by green netting and plastic sheeting.
What appears to be a priority parking reception centre is being built on the middle floor of the multistory car park. This is the floor with direct access to the passenger foot bridge. As can be seen it is long but very narrow. On the floor below parked cars are being protected by netting.
It is quite a trek from the first part of the drop off zone to the terminal. Even when this next section opens it will still be a good walk. With lighting columns now going in and spikes being driven into the ground as markers for the tarmac levels it is looking like tarmacking is not far away. I find it hard to believe that no weather protection will be provided for the drop off zone for waiting passengers but at the moment there are no signs of any being provided.
No activity on the approach road since the last photos from Spanish eyes. Also nothing major has happened to the terminal infill so no photo.
I am away again so no update for next Friday.

The MD82 belongs to ALK Airlines(LZ-DEO), has been operating the Bacau route on behalf of Blue Air during the summer months.
LTNman , thanks for the updates.
I noticed that publication a while back, what is interesting is that the pink line is shown wider at the CTA than passing the MTCP. Possibly considering a single track with crossing points?Maybe reading too much into it but I still can't believe they are considering tunnelling under the drop off area(taxiway fair enough)when keeping it above ground would be cheaper.

Neither can I, a long cut and cover tunnel like the existing tunnel would be too disruptive in such a small area and would involve digging up what hasn't even been put in place yet and a deep bore tunnel would add millions to the bill.
As the airport always likes the cheap option to everything they do it will either be a short cut and cover tunnel just under Alpha as there is room to divert Alpha as they did when the tunnel was built or the link will be elevated across Alpha and maybe remain elevated if they want to get close to the terminal.
The photo here shows Alpha when it was diverted

2(Extension to Parallel taxiway 08 end anticipated completion by 31/9/2017
6)Extension to Northern Stands commences August 2019
So no start this year on the 08 taxiway then.
The northern apron is the former Landmark site that is now part of Signature and served by their terminal 2. For years now this area has been down for new aprons despite Ocean Sky building their own aprons here only a few years ago. It seems they are going to be reworked rather than replaced. The only major change I can see is that when Ocean Sky built the bigger of their two aprons it was phase 1 of 2. The difference being that there is a building in the way that needs to be removed to square off the apron. At the moment it is L shaped.
Reference the MS car park. 340 spaces is the equivalent of one floor of parking and as it has been confirmed in the council submitted planning document that cars will be met by chauffeurs who will park the cars so it does indeed look like the reception area is the area being built in the above photo.
The question is on what floor will the cars be parked? I am guessing it will be the roof as there can be controlled access to that area. This would be no good for any spotters wanting to take a photo.
