Bit of an over hyped breeze to be honest. The big news is that over 200 trees have fallen down. What an epic trail of destruction worthy of over a weeks news attention.
Saw an Icelandair 757 climbing up extremely quickly yesterday.. Always good to see another 757 at Luton. Wonder if the Monarch ones will ever visit again before retirement.

With EC approval having been obtained for the sale from Abertis to AENA earlier this month, does anyone have any idea when we could expect the transaction to be completed. This will enable the much needed improvements, to begin, and hopefully, create a much more customer friendly and pleasant airport experience for all

LUTON-KOSICE
Cannot remember if it has been flagged before but Wizz are adding a fifth weekly Kosice flight from 12 December. They only started operating the route in September.

Runway08,Really cannot let your comment go regarding the "storm" today matey...certainly unfeeling & borderline Neanderthal...I suggest you view the latest media concerning the casualties, let alone the disruption to everyday lives.........Not all expectations are about the planes @ LUT....Regards,The Southside...

I dont see anything wrong with the comment to be honest, Without going off topic for to long. Thousands of people die everyday from random occurrences and we can not mourn or pretend to care for them all. They had been proclaiming this as the most scariest dangerous killer storm that would cause destruction and total chaos. It did no such thing. It was over hyped beyond belief, Scaremongering on a slow news week.
The only way I can link this useless little convo to Aviation is to say they do the same thing anytime a plane crashes. Over hype, worry everyone and tend to get it all wrong.
regards

I lost two fence panels, now there is a bear on the loose!
I lost interest during the week. Deaths aside, it's a storm, get used to it and get over it.

To answer my own question the Monarch 757 flew over my head today while i was taking a walk. Looked horrible with all that captains choice text all over it. Oh well!

ETA 22.35 20 mins early !!!!
737-8 + ericlday - why the excitement for a clapped out 737 from a small 3rd rank carrier that is struggling to avoid bankruptcy, flying from a city that doesn't even get 500,000 passengers per year ?
I flew Iasi-Heathrow with Tarom less than a month ago. Iasi airport can barely handle a 737, the airport has 1 shop post-security and the route is not glamorous. There is really no difference between Tarom to Iasi and Blue Air to Bacau.
