LUTON - 7
I didn't think anyone could just start flights to Moscow from England. BA have operated the route for years, and I believe it was last year, the Russians allowed another airline to operate the route. easyJet and Virgin bid for it, and EasyJet were succesful.

I'm sure level bust is right. The Russian market is very restrictive. Airlines can't just start up between Russia & the UK as & when they choose. I'm highly sceptical of this Wizz link.

Wizz air Ukraine to launch luton to st Petersburg and Moscow
I notice it is Wizzair Ukraine operating this route, which is seperate company in-effect to Wizzair Hungary, and I think is more-or-less a franchise company with some sort of Ukrainian ownership and I also think Ukraine and Russia also have an open-skies policy.
This is maybe how they are getting around this.
I would imagine Russia is high up the airlines list of countries they would like to expand in, seeing as how large the potential market is and with its gworing wealth.

Mate I have an issue with the rubbish u are posting about Moscow flights. The link doesn't work and I know that got it off Wikipedia which is incorrect. I know it's a rumour sight but post things that MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN. THANK YOU!

Where's this Emirates rumour coming from?
With so many seats available on their flights ex Heathrow & Gatwick, why would they see a service from Luton as viable in anything way?
I'd love it to be true but just don't see it.

You might care to check your facts. I can indeed "book luton to dubai now via Bucharest or Sofia and Kiev" ...if I make two completely separate bookings with no fallback if I miss my connection - as the Wizz Air website states, "Wizz Air only carries passengers directly between two cities, it does not offer a flight connection service."
Wizz has been successful in developing a network focused on Eastern Europe, largely avoiding aggressive competitors. Do you have any rational evidence at all that Wizz Air might ever consider non-stop LTN-DXB service or is that just wish-fulfilment fantasy?

Easyjet were only ably to operate the route to Moscow with a Russian partner. Transareo agreed to combine ticket sales and marketing.
I was joking about the a Emirates rumour. Been, looked and once talk of taking on the Silverjet terminal.
Huge Wizz increase for 13/14!

A lot of passengers are going to be missing there flights in the morning.
The last First Capital Connect train out of St Pancras was the 2332 tonight and from then on all cancelled until 9am at least.
It amazing, the wind gusts for 6am on Monday have gone from a forecast listed as 60mph on Thursday, 63 on Friday, 56 on Saturday and now its 53 Sunday/Monday.
Looks like it is no going to be as bad as first thought.

Which planet are you actually from chum ?
I believe that you can book luton to dubai now via Bucharest or Sofia and Kiev and maybe when the 321 arrived a non stop flight
Since when can a A321 fly LTN to DXB direct ? Empty maybe but not with a payload.

Now as for the Wizz flights to Moscow, Wizz will never operate direct flights from Luton to Moscow, period.
Virgin is still trying to get permission to fly LHR to Moscow as it is a controlled route.
I pointed out in an earlier post that it would be via one of its hubs.
It will be possible via BUD in the future, if Wizz get approval from the 18 December up to 4 days of the week for a limited period and daily from the 4th June until mid September.
