With GSM running routes like MAN-GLA-YVR-YYC, it would be easy to claim high passenger figures. Cant help thinking its not doing there 767 any good, with all the landings and takeoffs....

Yes busy aircraft carrying passengers around the place are the last thing a business needs. Best park the nice clean aircraft in the desert and stop it rusting. Are you in airline management by any chance? MBA material is that.

Do you think when the good times come around again, and they will eventually that Flyglobespan will make a healthy order for new a/c?
And secure their position in Scotland before a major move into the rest of UK.

Globespan Glasgow- Sanford

Does anyone know when the Globespan flights will be out for flights from glasgow to sanford for summer 2010 and also is there any truth in the rumours that they will be leaving glasgow and moving to prestwick?

Heard flights still to be decided and late August September mentioned. No, GSM will not be moving to PIK.

The present order in Scotland:
  1. Thomas Cook
  2. Globespan
  3. Thomson Airways

Thomson Airways will be doing something about this in the not too distant future!

A move to PIK would be a step backwards for them. Is it possible GSM may be considering operating some summer sun flights from PIK to replace that Seguro mob?
Come on Canincrewe have a little hope and faith they will expand lol. You never know one day they might be around the size of such airlines as Jet2 and BMI baby.

Having worked for baby, believe me, GSM are a very very different outfit in every way, including being a bigger carrier !

PIK

PIK is just a rumour, no intentions of operating out of PIK.

No expansion in the near future either.

JB007, afraid l dont agree with you, Globespan are far and away the top operator in Scotland, havent seen that many departures from TOM/TCX from ABZ or EDI however GSM are serving all 3 top airports in Scotland with many destinations available.

Fair enough TCX have a big presence at Glasgow but that does not make them top dogs in Scotland and l dont see TOM taking that mantle anytime soon either.

Got to say very much a shadow of her former self, well in my opinon anyway. I would have thought this a/c will be missed in the Winter months for SFB.

On the ground more than in the air by all accounts. So no changes there then. In the absence of the 757, I cant see SFB going during W09.
