It was never supposed to have been like that but it was installed before anyone realised. That from the mouth of someone who was actively involved with the operation.

The original seats in economy and premium are identical to the ones Norwegian use, though Norwegian have 8 inches more seat pitch in premium (46" vs 38") so access to seats is probably not a problem in their case. Have to say aside from being a little narrow the economy seats on Norwegian's 787's were very comfortable.

So the question is, have they now found another way or are the sockets a thing of the past?

If thats the case, despite the smaller middle pedestal there are still traditional power sockets.

Would anyone happen to know which aircraft are most likely to be scheduled for the following routes?
1). TOM7650 - BHX to KGS (01 AUG 15)
2). TOM2700 - MAN to LCA (20 SEP 15)
Thanks

Re the discussion on 788 premium seats we flew premium to Mauritius on g-tuid on 18 jan. The change to the centre console with the ice screen moved to the seat back is a definite improvement; the old arrangement is a definite hazard and I'm surprised they passed the safety tests. The seat itself feels just the same as the old one, hard and with inadequate lumbar support. It reclines about 2 inches, I didn't notice it slide forward.
Our return flight will be 2 Feb, this Monday, but sadly I won't be able to take a photo as, if Thomson stick to their normal flight schedule, we'll be on g-tub which is not upgraded. Even worse for us it's currently running 5 hours late so a long wait at MRU followed by my wife being trapped in her seat for 12 hours!
