When are the next few Thomson Dreamliners due?
- I see G-TUIG is #260 (G-TIUF was # 198) so that could be November-January.

Tom33 was delayed due to some issue in Puerto Vallarta and they needed a Dreamliner to cover the Mauritius flight so they substituted Tom182 with a 767 (G-OBYG) then had to delay the return so the crew could have there rest.

How come the 2 first choice 767's are doing shorter destinations than the usual long haul has it got anything to do with them being retired.

Well, I'm going to Larnaca from Manchester on a First Choice 767 in August. The main thing that I'm questioning is if the IFE will be used because the FCA 767's don't have overhead monitors to display the safety video?

ex fca 767 being used on short haul until they leave fleet over coming months, IFE switched off on s/h 767 rotations due licencing issues.

Did MAN-AYT-MAN on short-haul 767s earlier this month.

On the outbound, G-OBYF, no IFE whatsoever - the screens just showed a screensaver the whole way and nothing happened when you tried to use it.

On the return, G-OBYH, the system partially worked - map, interactive games and a couple of other bits worked, but no video or audio.

So, on short-haul, you might get a little bit of entertainment out of it. Spending about 3 hours playing poker made the flight pass much quicker! I don't know the reason for not having it on our outbound - we weren't expecting anything so didn't ask.

As an aside, I feel sorry for the passengers who ended up on one of the short-haul 767s over the Atlantic (a few posts above) - the seats are VERY narrow. 4 hours was just about ok but I wouldn't want to spend 10-11 hours in one.

TOM126/127 25th July

A friend was on due to fly SFB-MAN yesterday on TOM127 so I was keeping an eye on TOM126 (GTUIB) outbound. According to flightaware, it landed at MCO, then had a later hop to SFB. Anyone know if a) try and b) why?

Thunderstorms over Sanford, splash and dash into MCO, then had to wait for the storms to clear before flying on to SFB

Private study ?
You cant differentiate between scheduled and charter operators within the CAA stats you are probably looking at. Some airports have only charter operators, some only have a single operator and if this is a charter carrier then you could safely use that as the figures for that carrier. TOM figures are charter but would just be mixed in with all the other operators.

You can differentiate between scheduled and charter, but splitting figures down from the different charters will be nigh on impossible - GLA-DLM for example, the charter figures would cover TCX, TOM, PGT and OHY.

Thanks as we have jet 2 ;tom;tcx from gla
This private study is for my own reserch only
Using fr24 aircraft details plus bjv and dlm websites
For gla, edi, abz, ema ,ncl flights only to bjv and dlm
So i can take the caa figures charter will be tcx&tom combined and ls ascheduled
Just wish their was a way to find out individual flights figures

Apologies if these questions have been asked before.

As living near BOH and always use for my holiday flights, have just returned from Corfu and as ever flight was full and from what I know Thomsons loads from BOH are very good. But with just one based 737 they lack a depth of routes and many in area would like more..Croatia, more in Greece, Morocco, Madeira are a few that come to mind. Anyone know long term, if they plan any expansion at BOH?

Also..being a Friday there were many Thomson aircraft on the apron at Corfu including a very tired and old looking 757 ( sorry do not have the reg ) still in Thomsonfly livery. What are their plans to replace the 757's?

Thanks in advance.

because one column is for charter and the other for scheduled, third column is for overall total, is my reading of CAA data.
