Sunnygirl,

I can just picture you drooling, cackling and slavering away over this.

You kept bleating on about FJ. Any thought, at all, for the guys and gals at SJ?

If things go badly then sleep content in the fact that, in your own way, you assisted.
Does that also mean that the london stock exchange, Newspapaers and pprune are all responsible for the "possible" failing of Silverjet.

Silverjet is a great airline with I pressume... dedicated staff. However this is a public forum supplying information regarding Silverjets position in the global aviation market, at present this position is looking edgy. Apologies to all if you feel we have posted irrelevant information on the current standing of Silverjet. As a shareholder in Silverjet I can assure you I want them to succeed!! and succeed well!!

Also, we are reporting on share values and the financial position of this airline, all of this information can be found on the investor relations page on silverjets website, no one on here is bad mouthing Silverjet or the staff whom they employ!

Due to the share price dropping so much today many Business Travel Management companies have put a STOPSELL on Silverjet this afternoon as they are no longer covered by Airline Failure INsurance.

I big shame. But we can hear a hissing noise.

Gone on then, I'll bite: which Business Travel Management Company, and what Airline Failure INsurance do they have? Perhaps you could share a specific detail or 2.

Grrr

I guess being a listed company (unlike EOS) will place Silverjet under scrutiny, but according to their CX they are on target to deliver a profit as per their business plan. So rumours of the airline failing within 2 months of its first scheduled break even/profit still proliferate.

EOS which has been operating for around 2 years has never made a profit and spent around £130 million of its investors cash so far!

CAA provisional traffic

The data is just out for routes from Luton.

http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?ca...=11&fld=200801

Luton to Newark was
Nov 6828
DEC 6120 (down to 1 per day between christmas and new year)
Jan 6524

luton to Dubai
Nov 1129 (started near end of nonth)
DEC 2671
Jan 2334

If you take the CAA traffic data from the Revenue traffic nunbers given to shareholders you get how many people travel for free. This is down from 552 sectors in December to 129 sectors in jan.

"Give Silverjet a break"

That's what the Times was saying yesterday:

http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/tol/...cle3376027.ece

".....Some people may be concerned about the airline’s viability. Despite the share price, the airline must have plenty of cash, amassed from the loan, a £12m share issue and a successful January sale. I suspect a certain amount of mischief-making in the current wave of rumours about the airline but I personally think there’s little to worry about at the moment. I could be proven wrong – and I hope I am not because Silverjet brings much needed choice to the business travel sector – but I believe that the airline has a rosy future."

I absolutely agree aab.

In fact, whilst a falling share price certainly doesn't help any listed business, as Digby Jones (I think it was) once observed, the atmosphere and mindset in the dealing houses doesn't always reflect actual 'coal-face' business reality...

I would imagine that as a business deal, it was difficult to pull out from having been arranged for many months?

Or

Expansion is their route to success?

so tell me sunny girl you're working for BAA on security after a spell in the air with flyjet....

Bitter Silverjet turned you down still....hence the snippets of information on silverjet. You seem to delight in the challenges Silverjet face. i for one wish them and any airline well in these challenging times.

sad, bitter, angry folk...

Rumour is the shares WILL be suspended tomorrow." That was Feb 12 you posted that. Sorry Hudson, it's the end of the week and it seems we're still trading. Was everybody else as astonished as me that Hudson got it wrong? Again?

"Career not gone the way you hoped ?" Nicely said, 8che. I'm thinking he didn't make the grade somewhere along the line in his bitter (non-)life. Or did one of our beautiful girls not give you the attention you’d hoped for?

Or is BA giving you a little 'helping hand' to write your malice?

Give up dude. Silverjet is made up of a tight-knit, very proud team of people of a quality you'll never have to privilege of being associated with. Hard as you try, it'll take a whole lot more than your drivel to break our morale.

Seats are being sold and the cash is coming in. We don't need, nor do we want, sad people like yourself writing any nonsense that comes into your little worthless head then hoping we'll forget what you said. Or are there a few other voices there too, Huddy?

Egnxema, sunny girl stand in line too. Lots of “from the horse’s mouth” hearsay, and no statements to back any of it up. You fire your guns then scurry off to hide in your corner. When are idiots like you going to start holding your hands up and owning up when you get one of your nasty little predictions wrong? Never of course. Seems to me you rely on being able to say what you want and not be reminded later about how wrong you got it. Not anymore. From this day on, every time any of you makes a prediction on this thread which does not eventuate, I will personally post a comment to point it out for everyone to read. Like I'm doing now.

Hudson, if you ain't getting any at home, you can pay for it you know...it can do wonders to release some of your anger. Either you need to talk to someone about this, or you ought to take your mailicious, nasty, bitter little demeanour to some camp in the Middle East, there are groups of people there you could relate to.

Handover Richard, Hungover from a deluded life that thinks everything in the world is a bed of roses.

GET INTO THE REAL WORLD

Face the facts Rich. Silverjet is on the brink of a complete collapse. It is not a rumour. It is a listed company and the financial records are there for everybody to see. The accounts do not lie. If you are so confident that Silverjet will survive go and buy some of their cheap shares. My guess is you wouldn't and nor would I.

The biggest mistake Silverjet made was to list the company at such an early stage of operating. Putting all the financial details on show is not what you do with a new company. It was a gamble to raise cash and it backfired badly.
No such thing as making a quick buck.

Now Dick, go and do what ostriches do with their heads.

Actually, Silverjet are getting lots of good press. They are featuring in the travel supplements, occasionally in the news, you see their adverts everywhere, and the financial press covers them too.

The only negative press has been in some financial papers during the last couple of weeks, and on Pprune. Most people are not interested in share price movements, but just see the brand. And the Silverjet brand has been well polished since before its inception, and it continues to win customers.

For a company that's been operating for just a year, they have done a remarkable job of establishing and defining their brand, and spreading the word about the innovative service they offer.

I wish them well.
