A change of class set up just means moving about some seats and dividers. Way short of a major cabin refit.

Only 1 B763 back so far.

All 5 B738 are in Scotland tonight, well by 0400. Four at GLA, and one at EDI. GCDEG positioned back from Lasham last night.
GCDEG is scheduled to operate GLA-BCN-EDI-BCN-GLA later today.
GSAAW is scheuduled to operate EDI-PMI-EDI-ALC-EDI

The other 3 B738 are scheduled to operate the remaining GLA flights today.

One of the B736 was due off SEN back to GLA last night, but looks like it hasn't moved yet, guessing GCDKD, however looks like it was not ready.

Anyone have any word on how far away GCDKT is from being despatched from LPL back to Scotland?

B763 G-CEOD will return GLA today early afternoon in time to operate first flights to Canada.

B736 G-CDKT and G-CDKD - 1 back in GLA today. The other will be moved down to Southend for some work before being returned to the operating fleet soon.

Looks like it'll be 4 B738s (1 B738 off on lease for S08), 2 B73Gs, 2 B733s, 2 B736s, 1 B752ER and 2 B763ERs for S08.

W08 as it stands just now will be 1 B752ER operating SFB and other flights, poss YHM, 4 B738s, 2 B736s, 2 B733s, and 2 B73Gs. Lots of routes to be released to fill those planes.

Has anybody got any pictures of the 752 and its new coloured tail?
Is it fitted with winglets?

I see Jet2 have announced there first long-haul flights LEEDS-NY (NEWARK) only in NOV & DEC though but maybe going to follow in GSM'S footsteps?

Still no word on GSM'S ETOPS? Its getting quite close to all of there S08 long-haul flights starting.

We flew to Sandford on 24/4/08 on the 767 plane was really good, pity about the 6 hour delay on the way out. We were meant to leave from Sandford today at 6pm again on the 767 but surprise surprise we are still sitting in the terminal awaiting to return back home now at 1.45am!!!!!!!!!

What makes it worse is the plane is sitting there on the runway for us all to see!!!! Will never fly with globespan again after the lengthy delays with 2 1/2 year old. Really poor customer service globespan, why dont you have fresh crew waiting to leave???????

The persistent unreliability of this carrier will be it's own downfall in the long run. It has one of the worst punctuality records going. Whilst trying to improve a level of service onboard, it is let down by the continual delays on long haul routes which are totally unacceptable. Time and time again since SFB route started there has been delay after delay, fuel diversions, aircraft changes even resulting in uncomfortable 737's flying across the pond.

Looking at the fare structure it's not even that cheap either. Come on Flyglobespan get your act together, plan your flights with realistic turnrounds and maintenance levels.

The departure of G-CDKT to LFLX suggests that this aircraft may soon be scrapped, in the light of previous reports of its poor condition and that fact that Chateauroux is now a major European dismantling centre approved by Boeing & RR.

More likely to be for maintenance as both 733's visited LFLX over the winter as they both came back to MME from there.

ETOPS must be reinstated GSM725 to SFB today took an ETOPS routes according to flytecomm. http://www.flytecomm.com/cgi-bin/trackflight

Today they used the 2 767's on SFB because of the delay of yesterdays flight arriving back to GLA but Canada flights start tomorow so that was a one off so better hope no more delays from now on because it hasn't been going well so far.
